On December 14 at 8:30 a.m., the final stage of the 2025 China Road Pro Cycling League & "Tour of Yunnan" Road Race commenced in Chenggong District, Kunming. Over 100 elite cyclists from 20 professional teams from across China set off from the Kunming Convention Hall. They raced 108.9 kilometers along the Dianchi Lake Ring Road, amidst the winter beauty of Kunming's stunning lakes and mountains.

This competition was not merely a battle of speed, but also a window through which China's top cyclists came to know and appreciate Kunming.

Riders' Voices: Racing in Kunming is a Pleasure

"It's my second time competing in Kunming. Riding here, I felt the winter in Kunming is truly beautiful—with blue skies, clear waters, lush greenery, and vibrant life. The environment is excellent, and the road conditions are great, making it perfect for both cycling and tourism," said competitor Gao Xiang.

"The temperature, scenery, and road conditions at the Kunming stage were all fantastic. The ride was incredibly comfortable, and it's an ideal place for a race," added competitor Li Xinhang.

For Zhang Liang, the experience was more poetic: "This 'Tour of Yunnan' was truly amazing. I made a special trip yesterday to see the black-headed gulls at Dianchi Lake—a sight you can't find anywhere else in China. The organization of this event felt exceptionally professional, covering accommodations, meals, logistics, transfers, and all other services. I'd rank it number one. This race allowed me to experience a colorful, vibrant Yunnan."

From a training perspective, Jin Ziwei offered his affirmation: "I found the Kunming leg the most comfortable. The weather here is ideal for our training needs, and the local residents are very hospitable. My personal impression is excellent."

Racing Alongside Dianchi: A Picturesque Course That Unfolds Like a Moving Gallery of Landscapes

The Kunming course, spanning 108.9 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 571 meters, centers around Dianchi Lake. It masterfully connects urban landscapes, distant views of the Xishan Mountain, and the beauty of the lake, vividly embodying the new event philosophy where "the racecourse is the scenic spot, and the competition is the tour."

"The course is beautiful. Dianchi Lake has always been a place I longed to visit, and this race brought me here. The route design was excellent, the staff were highly professional and enthusiastic, and the locals cheering by the roadside were wonderful. I hope to come back and compete again next year," exclaimed cyclist Yang Ruifeng.

Zhou Bowen also shared, "The scenery in Kunming is gorgeous, with the mountains looking magnificent. The race difficulty and intensity were very high, making it quite challenging to complete. I managed to finish this stage today. Overall, everything in Kunming was great."

Sports as a Gateway: Showcasing "Yunnan: A Many-Splendored Life" to the World

This year's event, themed "Travel Yunnan Through Sports, Enjoy 'Yunnan: A Many-Splendored Life'," spanned nine days, traversing five cities in Yunnan before culminating in the ultimate showdown by the shores of Dianchi Lake in the "Spring City," Kunming.

A representative from the Education and Sports Bureau of Chenggong District stated, "We aim to leverage the high-quality sports events held in Chenggong District as opportunities. Building on Yunnan Province's brand as a 'Plateau Training Sanctuary, Outdoor Sports Paradise, and All-Season Event Destination,' we will use sports competitions as a catalyst. By integrating mass sports activities like cycling with Chenggong's unique natural and cultural landmarks, we combine the competitiveness of sports with the leisure of tourism. 骑手心声：在昆明比赛，是一种享受

“我是第二次来昆明参加比赛，一路骑过来感觉昆明的冬天碧水蓝天、绿意盎然、生机勃勃，环境非常好，而且赛道路况也很不错，非常适合骑行和旅游。” 参赛选手高翔说。

“昆明站的气温、风景、路况都非常好，一路骑下来感觉很舒服，这里很适合比赛。” 参赛选手李昕航补充道。

选手张良的体验更具诗意：“这次‘环云南’比赛真的太棒了，我昨天特意去看了滇池的海鸥，在全国任何地方都看不到的。 关于这次赛事我觉得组织得特别专业，包括吃、住、行、转场，各种接待，我觉得是第一名。感谢这次比赛让我体验到了一个多彩、七彩的云南。”

金紫微选手则从训练角度给出了肯定：“我觉得昆明这一站比赛是最舒服的，昆明这边我感觉天气对于我们的训练来说是比较舒服的，市民也比较好客，我个人感觉是很好的。”

滇池畔驰骋：最美赛道绘就山水画廊

昆明站赛道全程108.9公里，累计爬升高度571米，以滇池为核心，巧妙串联起城市风貌、西山远景与湖光山色，生动诠释了 “赛场就是景点、竞赛就是旅游” 的办赛新理念。

参赛选手杨瑞丰感叹：“赛道很美，滇池一直是我向往的，正好借着这次比赛来到了滇池。赛道设置得非常棒，工作人员也十分到位、十分热情，路边的老乡们为我们加油，我希望明年继续来参加比赛。”

周博闻选手也表示：“昆明这边风景很好，山看着很美，比赛难度和强度也非常高，完赛挺不容易的，我今天还是骑完了这个赛段，昆明这边整体来说都很不错。”

赛事为媒：向世界展示“有一种叫云南的生活”

本届赛事以 “跟着赛事游云南，畅享有一种叫云南的生活” 为主题，历时9天，穿越云南五城，最终在“春城”昆明滇池之滨上演终极对决。
