Influenced by rising fresh flower prices, prices of their derivative products have also increased. One merchant explained that, using a solid perfume with a fragrance that lasts up to 8 hours as an example, this product is made with pure natural flower extracts. It normally costs 10 yuan each, but recently a special offer is 4 for 100 yuan.

Wang Yang, Deputy General Manager of Kunming Flower Auction Center, introduced that this year, the flower industry chain, from upstream to downstream, faces challenges due to multiple factors, including a prolonged rainy season and increased upstream cultivation costs. Before Qixi, responsible persons from Kunming Flower Auction Center led their teams to conduct on-site surveys in various production areas to understand the needs and pain points of suppliers, providing high-quality services to "protect prices and ensure smooth supply" for Qixi. Overall, the volume of goods has significantly decreased compared to last year, but the daily average supply volume remains above 6 million stems.
