In the heart of Kunming stands a building with unique charm—the Flying Tigers Building. It is rich in history and has now become an internet-famous check-in spot due to the "fighter aircraft" perched on its roof, drawing locals and tourists alike.

Located at the intersection of Baoshan Street and Xiangyun Street, the Flying Tigers Building was completed in 1945 and was once the tallest building in Kunming. It was constructed through the investment of the renowned brothers, Shu Zilie and Shu Zijie, who were Burmese-Chinese businessmen from Baoshan. Today, as you step onto Baoshan Street or Xiangyun Street, you can spot a silver propeller-driven "fighter aircraft" that stands atop the Flying Tigers Building from a distance. 

According to the developer, this World War II "fighter aircraft" is a 1:1 scale replica, modeled after the P51, nicknamed the "Mustang." The entire project, from design to installation, cost 150,000 yuan. On January 20, 2025, the "fighter aircraft" made its debut, and the spot quickly became a social media sensation. Whether during the day or night, the location draws crowds of citizens and tourists to take photos and capture memories. 

The airplane atop the Flying Tigers Building is not just a photo op, but also serves as a vivid symbol of the city's history, attracting more people to explore its past. Ms. Zhang, a visitor from Zhejiang, shared her thoughts: "Kunming is a city full of character, with each street offering its own cultural and creative elements. In addition to flowers, seagulls, and mushrooms, there's also a rich historical aspect. We were drawn here by the plane from afar. Not only did we take photos, but we also learned about that era of the war. It was truly meaningful.

在昆明市中心，有一座独具魅力的建筑——飞虎楼，它承载着厚重的历史，如今因楼顶的一架飞机，成为网红打卡点，吸引着市民和游客纷至沓来。

飞虎楼位于宝善街和祥云街交叉口，建成于1945年，为当时昆明第一高楼，由颇负盛名的保山籍旅缅侨商舒子烈、舒子杰兄弟投资所建。如今，踏入宝善街和祥云街，便能远远望见一架银色涂装的螺旋桨战机“停靠”在飞虎楼楼顶。

据建设方介绍：这架二战战斗机是按照1:1比例复刻的仿真飞机，型号为P51，绰号“野马”，从设计到安装整个模型总计花费15万元。2025年1月20日，飞虎楼上的“战机”面世，这里便迅速成为网红打卡点，无论是白天还是夜晚，都有众多市民和游客到此拍照留念。

飞虎楼楼顶的飞机不仅是一个打卡点，更是对城市历史的生动诠释，吸引着更多人前来探寻。来自浙江的游客张女士说：“昆明城市非常有特色，不同的街道都有各自的文创，除了鲜花、海鸥、菌子，还有历史文创，我们远远地被飞机吸引过来，不仅拍了照片，还了解到那段抗战历史，非常有意义。”（中文稿件来源：春城晚报-开屏新闻）
