（InKunming Lexi）On Nov. 3, eight authorities in China decided to set up 29 national demonstration zones for import promotion and innovation, the Ministry of Commerce said on its website. The eight authorities include the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the People's Bank of China, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, and the National Medical Products Administration. The China-Laos Mohan-Boten Economic Cooperation Zone is one of the 29 demonstration zones and the only selected demonstration zone in Yunnan Province this time. 

Actively expanding China's imports is an important part of China's promotion of high-level opening-up. In light of the local opening reality, the newly established demonstration zones will effectively strengthen trade promotion and innovation, strongly optimize the business environment, and play the four roles of promoting imports, serving the industries, boosting consumption, and demonstrating leadership.

记者从商务部网站获悉，11月3日，商务部、国家发展改革委、财政部、人民银行、海关总署、市场监管总局、外汇局、药监局等8部门决定，在全国增设29个国家进口贸易促进创新示范区，中国老挝磨憨—磨丁经济合作区位列其中，是此次云南省唯一入选示范区。

主动扩大进口，是中国推进高水平对外开放的重要内容。据悉，新设立的示范区将从各自地区开放实际出发，切实强化贸易促进和贸易创新两大功能，着力优化营商环境，发挥促进进口、服务产业、提升消费、示范引领四大作用。（中文稿件来源：云南日报 记者韩成圆）
