(InKunming Rachel) The commercial financial service bureau of Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone issued statistics on foreign exchange transactions through Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone integrated service center, which promotes the internationalization of RMB.

The commercial financial service bureau of Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone has continued promoting the improvement of cross-border financial services, focusing on promoting cross-border RMB settlement, facilitating cross-border investment and financing, and providing more comprehensive and high-quality cross-border financial products and services for individuals and enterprises in and outside Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone since the beginning of this year.

Relying on the Pan-Asian business center of Yunnan branch of Agricultural Bank of China, the Bureau not only updates the foreign exchange rates of Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam, but also showcases the statistics on foreign exchange transactions of Agricultural Bank of China in US dollars, Thai baht, Myanmar dollars and Vietnamese rupiah, which has formed a favorable demonstration effect.

At present, banks in the Kunming Area have realized counter exchange transactions of Thai baht, Lao Kip and other currencies, laying solid foundation for promoting the internationalization of RMB. Carrying out foreign exchange listing transactions in surrounding countries will further stimulate the foreign trade vitality of export-oriented economic entities, facilitate the cross-border capital flow of enterprises, and improve the business environment of Kunming Area.

8月15日，记者从昆明经开区商务金融服务局获悉，该局在中国（云南）自贸试验区昆明片区综合服务中心展示外汇交易数据，助推人民币国际化。

今年以来，昆明经开区商务金融服务局持续推动完善跨境金融服务工作，着力推进跨境人民币结算、促进跨境投融资便利化，为自贸试验区昆明片区境内外的个人及企业提供更全面、更优质的跨境金融产品和服务。日前，该局依托中国农业银行云南省分行泛亚业务中心，在已实现周边国家老挝基普、泰铢、缅甸元、越南盾每日外汇牌价展示的基础上，在自贸试验区昆明片区综合服务中心展示农业银行省内的美元、泰铢、缅甸元、越南盾、老挝基普外汇交易数据，对外形成了良好的示范效应。

目前，该区内银行已实现泰铢、老挝基普等货币的柜台兑换交易，为推进人民币国际化奠定了基础。开展周边国家外汇挂牌交易，将进一步激发外向型经济主体对外贸易活力，方便企业跨境资金流动，提升自贸试验区昆明片区的营商环境。（中文稿件来源：昆明信息港 昆明日报记者吴洁）
